boho band girl

if you follow my insta, you've probably seen these shorts a time or two, and that's because I cant stop wearing them!!  as if the leopard print wasn't enough to suck me in, they are incredibly comfortable, super chic, and trimmed in raw edge lace.  (plus they're only $30!!!)  can you say total SCORE!!  thanks to my instatique (instagram boutique) obsession, I found these at the minted exchange which is the same shop I snagged last weeks floral kimono (SEEN HERE)!!  I have worn them a multitude of ways by now, but my first instinct, as with most of my leopard bottoms, was to pair it with a rocker tee.  this acdc tank has been in my wardrobe for a minute, see it worn HERE in the fall with leopard fur, shocking!!  I added a lil boho with this tassel necklace, again something I've had and continue to add tassels and gems etc, depending on the outfit.  my flops have become my sandal of the summer thanks to the neutral shade and gold studs and these metallic sunnies make every outfit fun.  this black crossbody was an easy addition for convenience purposes with the munchkins and the perforated detail is reminiscent of the cleobella bag I could never bring myself to pay for.  another super score from TJ's!!!

coffee and kimonos

for whatever reason, this post feels very intimate to me, like im letting you in on a little secret.
I don't know if its the indoor spot, the sun streaming in from the windows, or perhaps the main reason, NO SUNNIES!!!  I actually have eyes guys, can you believe it??  on the real though, this look is me!  not that everything else I post isn't me, its just mostly the very fab, somewhere to go version of me, but I rarely post the day to day, mom-on-the-go me.  no fab fashion events to attend, no dinner dates with the hubs, just me and my boys against the world and this laid back style is my go to.  so after a long morning of shooting, my makeup gone, and my hair a disheveled mess, I slipped into this look, fueled up on caffeine and headed out for a fun filled family day!!  I love easy layers and cross-bodies for the daily grind.  it keeps me hands free and ready for a climate change.  by now you're well aware of my love of kimonos.  I love the tie-dye print and flowy fabric of this style and the side slits make it oh so airy.  I paired it with a cut-off band tee which is usually my go-to top of choice.  graphic tees tend to always layer well and up the cool factor of any outfit.  these lace shorts have been on heavy rotation since the day I bought them.  they're a little high-waisted and uber comfortable.  both must haves in my book!!  i finished the look off with a pop of leopard, although they didn't last long, the sky opened up, and they are suede, so I switched em out for strappy flops.  i hope you enjoy this laid-back version of me.  just remember, its a balance!  let yourself have a day off every once in a while and learn to love the easy things in life!!

well fitted denim on a man, I cant even tell you how happy that makes me, but there's something to be said about the way a man carries himself in said denim.  pairing it down with a tee, even though its a relaxed look, is very masculine and shows just how much confidence he truly exudes.  this is for sure my favorite everyday look for a man.  you see what they're workin with without having them try to hard to impress, and you can take them just about anywhere as long as the words "black tie" aren't involved.  to really up the manly factor, I messy rolled the bottom hem and paired them with, what I call "claud-hopper" boots.  they're chunky and a bit devil may care, but not motorcycle bad boy, which is a whole new level of ego im not terribly fond of.  he looks good, he feels good and it shows, what else could you ask for?!!

as women, we carry so many hats and fill so many rules throughout a day.  my main titles include, momma, wife, blogger, so on even the slowest of days, im transitioning between 3 titles.  this means Outfit Changes!!  it is such a pain to have to totally change from head to toe, so on most days i just adapt to my surroundings.  this look is from Tuesday where I was momma bear all day with my littlest of munchkins (nix had a daddy day).  seeing as I only had 1 child to wrangle, i turned it up a notch and left the cutoffs and band tees for another day.  i found these shorts on a recent trip to atlanta and fell in love.  theyre a bit vintage pj, and all too cute, so for the day i paired them with this chambray top (you know i gotta get my denim in somewhere) and a silk bomber that i have literally had since high school, don't judge me.  of course, flats are always a must, (i rarely wear a heel with a child in toe) so i strapped on my fave summer sandal and some sunnies - we will get to these bad boys more in a minute
Linc was on a mission to teach me a lesson for wearing ivory silk (dummie me) and stayed clean and dry for all of 2 seconds.  but even covered in puddle mud, he's still pretty adorable.  i styled him to coordinate with my look with lots of orange and neon!!
my Tuesday night included a blogger meetup, ie: your fashion game better be on point!!  so i switched out my denim for a lace tank and this tuxedo jacket.  i added an extra pendant and upgraded my footwear to my faux rockstuds.  they have a way of making every outfit look that much better!!
now, shall we discuss the sunnies??  seeing as im a bit of a sunglass aficionado, these Kameleonz shades are right up my alley!!  the wayfarer frames are a classic style, and the mirrored lenses add a bit of funk, but the best part is the interchangeable side bars!!  yes sir re bob, you can actually switch out the side bars and with most pairs coming in a triple set, that's like getting 3 pairs for the price of 1!!  and, the price is under $40 anyway, so you are really getting a great deal!!  and you know this girl likes a bargain!  with so many color combos to choose from, i really went back and forth and decided on the Lava Triple Set.  i don't have a single pair similar and i was really drawn to the neon orange!!  Kameleonz is giving all my readers a special discount so be sure to use the promo code: TARA to receive 20% OFF your order!!  happy shopping lovies!!
