billy jean

seeing as we spend most weekends in the country, i've learned to adapt my wardrobe accordingly.  not that this look strays to far from my norm, but heels are definitely not an appropriate option.  my basic philosophy for outfit planning is denim, tees, boots.  I love the rolled bfs and they're perfectly comfortable for a day outdoors with the rugrats.  I paired them with this slouchy tank and threw on my favorite utility top, pulled on my cowboy boots (shorties!  I haven't been able to embrace the full boot style, its still a bit too country for me) tousled my hair, and rolled out the door.  its a very simple and the most perfect way to relax on the weekends.  hope you had a restful weekend and a happy Monday!!!  also, be sure to scroll down and enter a fun giveaway with ASOS!!!

abc, its easy as mtv

cheers to the weekend ladies!!  I hope you all have fabulous plans!!  I usually get my nights out, out of the way during the week, but even then im in bed by ten, (mommy duties come early!!)  but as a result, I tend to get jazzed up for anything that starts after 4pm.  my evening out attire ranges depending on where im going and who ill be with, but the skirt/graphic is definitely my go-to for most occasions.  being a lover of separates, I have accumulated quite the stack of both, and its what I feel most comfortable in.  you've seen this faux leather mini quite a few times now as its one of my faves, and coming into fall, I think a leather skirt is a must have!!  I paired it with this cropped tee and 2 tone booties.  since my palate was lacking in color, I used my accessories to add pops of primary (colors that is) with my red sunnies and blue foldover clutch.  have a wonderful Friday!!!

shopping in sweats

so, its totally not surprising that I love to shop, SHOCKING!!  it is probably one of my most favorite hobbies and whether it be for groceries or fashion, a lil retail relaxation is my favorite kind of therapy.  one things for sure, I always shop in comfort.  i like to be able to whip in and out of the fitting room so, no muss no fuss is the way to go.  I do generally opt for heels when shopping for myself just so im able to visualize how the clothes will look, or ill snatch a pair from the store when i enter the fitting room.  this look is definitely the epitome of comfort, and one of my favorite trends for fall!!  the jogger/track/lounge pant definitely made a statement last year, but this year they're back in even more sporty inspired fabrics and fits.  you can dress them down, and I usually do with chucks or hi-tops, but they also look very "street-style" hip with a pair of heels or booties.  I paired mine with a graphic tee and my go-to denim jacket, staple accessories and a bold patent pop with these red pumps.  I cant wait to live in this trend for fall!!

follow the turquoise brick wall

oh happy day!!  its Monday!!  I must say, I have never been so excited for a fresh start to a new week.  the weather is cooling off, my fall spirit has been awakened, and with one week left to summer, i'm ready to hop on in to all the fun holiday festivities that are already taking over the shelves at target!  i purchased this dress with fall parties in mind.  the Aztec print is perfection and i love the boho feel, but the fit has a bit of a vintage vibe, so it will be fun to style it both ways depending on the occasion.  i styled it a bit more eclectic classic for an afternoon of antiquing on my favorite street in Walterboro.  to define my waist, i tied on this skinny leopard belt and played up the girly vibe with my suede pink pumps.  for an extra pop of fun i layered on this crystal chain necklace and found the most perfect turquoise wall to make my whole outfit pop!!

spots and stripes

mixing prints is always a fun way to switch up any outfit, but when leopard is involved, I get a little more excited!!  this skirt has been in my closet since last winter, and on heavy rotation, but I can honestly say, I don't think I've worn it the same way twice.  the midi fit is always classic and the print is perfection.  I was headed to a wedding celebration so I wanted a fun evening look.  I layered on 2 more prints with this crop tank and houndstooth sunnies.  I added a few pops of red with my mani and pumps, and of course a bold lip, and tied the whole look together with some statement gold accessories.
