how to style the basic tee and mini skirt!!
you really can't go wrong with this look. it easily transitions from day to night, office to girls night out! my best tip would be to stick with a neutral palate and add 1 pop of color. this allows you the option to really layer on the look with pattern and print and still look polished and put together.
clever/cute tees are popping up left and right and not only are they stylish, but uber comfortable! solids and stripes are perfect for every occasion or you can choose a quippy quote or a fun print if your feeling frisky!
when it comes to the skirt, I really like for it to hit at the waist, and to have some sort of flounce or hem to add flare. you can totally do a basic mini, but choose a thicker fabric, like leather or suede so theres no visible bunching of the tee (not cute!)
no matter the weather, I always grab a jacket even if its just to sling over my shoulders. I'm an equal opportunity layer lover, whether you choose denim or leather, blazer or bomber, you'll never regret having a jacket on hand
with todays style of streetwear and mixing day and night, I really think any shoe is appropriate with this look. when im with my boys, its flats for sure. i love a sneaker for some edge, an espadrille for a touch of prep, and a gladiator for funk. if i find myself childfree, I for sure take advantage and throw on some head turning heels. lace-ups are oh so sexy and metallic will take you from season to season. so have some fun! switch it up, layer it on, and rock the sidewalk!!
