the simple life

 i know i pride myself on being a big city girl, and trust me, those bright lights will never stop calling my name, but there is something to be said for the beauty and appeal of a small town life. the skies are blue, the grass is green and you can literally see miles and miles of God's creation, untainted, in all its glory.  this is where most weekends of ours are spent, enjoying the simple life, and the more i go, the more i never want to leave.  for obvious reasons, my style always turns toward bohemian.  I've worn this outfit for multiple occasions, but it seems to fit best in the boro.  i just love this top and the way it falls so perfectly and it lightens up the leopard shorts giving them a more feminine feel.  i hope you have a fabulous Monday!!  take a minute to take a deep breath and enjoy the day, tomorrow will be here soon enough.

today is my final fall look with Tanger Outlet and its all about back to school with the boys!!  granted, my boys aren't actually old enough to start school yet, but we do attend quite a few friday night football games, and this is our favorite way to go!  hoodies are such an easy add on for youngins, and I almost always have an extra in my car because you never know when the weathers gonna drop.  Phoenix is all about matching shoes with his bubba, so I was so excited to find these hi-tops and with blue being his favorite color, I knew he'd love them too!   He really stole the show and was practicing his model pose like a pro!  I think he's really starting to get into mommy's photoshoots.  Lincoln on the other hand, follows the beat of his own drum and wanted nothing to do with this rainy afternoon.  he was too distracted by muddy puddles and daddys ice tea, which he poured all over himself about 5 minutes in.  my favorite model man of the day was Jeremy!!  as you can see by the pics, he took cues from me and replicated all my poses.  he's not so into having his picture taken, but I love finally having the whole family together for a post!!  for J's look, he keeps it simple.  like I said before, cotton is his friend, so he usually sticks with a v-neck, henley, or the trusty polo!  im not especially fond of polos, but at least he isn't afraid to wear bright colors!  playing off the boys, I through together my look with pops of neon.  another graphic, I know, I cant help myself, but this time in the form of a sweatshirt, and a super comfy/cute one at that.  I paired it with these distressed skinnies and my fave faux rockstuds!  a few pops of fun accessories and we're all ready for a fun filled Friday night!!!!

holy chic

biker chic that is!!!  I mean . . . . I totally scored big at the outlets, but my favorite purchase is this vegan leather jacket!!  I have been trying to find the perfect black leather biker for years now, but haven't found quite what I was looking for, until now!!  not only is it animal friendly, but with a price tag under $100, its easy on the wallet as well!!  and most definitely a must have for the upcoming season, so forgive me now if you're sick of seeing this bad boy by the end of winter, because I full on intend to wear it like every single day!!  so, moving on for the jacket, (i'll have plenty more posts to swoon over it)  this look started with the pant!!  you know I love my loungewear, and this is a style from last season that you most likely already have in your wardrobe, so it easily transitions you into fall with heavier layers.  this is my first floral pair, and im totally digging on the dark print.  I paired it with this graphic tee and as I said before, this trend is here to stay!!  I just had to have this play on words.  not only do I totally overuse the word "chic", but i'm also someone who never uses curse words, so I found it a bit cheeky and ironic making it that much more fun!!  these booties solidified my bad girl biker vibe and I topped it off with sunnies to match the pants and a gold clutch for a pop of metallic.  all together, i think this might be my favorite look of the week and totally an outfit I will be recreating over and over again!!
