hey guys!!! in case you hadn't noticed, fashion month just wrapped and my feed was flooded with street style posts and runway looks and a million perfectly foamed lattes and all i was feeling was major fomo because i wasn't right there alongside all my favorite fashion babes with a front row seat to the chaos. so even though i didn't get to jet to paris and nyc and milan, i brought fashion month to me and hit up the uber chic streets of charleston to strut some fashion week looks with Metisu.
this whimsical butterfly dress is look numero uno of 3 super fun runway inspired looks!! charleston fashion week is always an excuse for me to think outside of the box and pair the dainty with the tough, the pretty with some edge, and in this case whimsy with utilitarian. i fell in love with this fairy like a line dress and the sheer overlay of butterflies has me feeling like i'm floating on a cloud. i tried it with about a zillion toppers but decided on a classic olive cargo coat (i did mention i have a thing for olive didn't i?) i love a random pairing and these two seemed to be meant for each other. the butterflies come in every shade so any shoe would work, but for some extra fun, this pop of blue seemed to do the trick and to finish the look, i grabbed another unexpected accessory with my favorite bag trend of the moment, the backpack!! aside from being "trendy" the backpack is basically the most practical bag ever! hands free, plenty of room, and super fun!! be sure to check back for my next 2 looks! have a great day!!
