my achy breaky sole

ok babes, you may have seen Sole Serum popping up all over the blogs, but if you have yet to try it, let me tell you, the time is now!!! always the skeptic, my first thoughts about this product were "yeah right, now way". a serum that keeps my dogs from barking within 10 minutes of application, give me a break! but seriously you guys, this stuff is no joke!! on the average day with the boys, I will wear sneaks, but as most of you know, heels are for sure my go-to, and generally they're not hurting for height. go big or go home is my motto, so nothing under 3 inches has ever graced my closet. and I inherited this stubborn mind-set, that no matter how bad they hurt, I will prevail for the sake of a good outfit. but now, thanks to this purse friendly companion, I will suffer no more! Sole Serum hits all my major criteria, cute packaging, fresh scent, natural ingredients, and most importantly, it actually works! pop the cap and pump a few drops onto those aching feet, and within minutes, you are back to strutting your stuff, pain free! i have added this product to my arsenal, and with fashion week around the bend, it will definitely come in handy.

I am so excited to finally be sharing this Dandy Boutique lookbook with you guys!!! It was honestly such an honor and so much fun to hang with all my girls, who happen to be super fab bloggers as well!! We all got to style our own looks, so check back next week for look #2, but with Valentine's right around the corner, I thought what better way to kick off the week than with a little dose of chocolate and hearts!! especially when this chocolate is sandwiched between marshmallows and graham crackers and the hearts are topped of with a foxy little sweater! Seriously you guys, this is one of the cutest boutiques you will ever step foot in! since the store has a bit of a vintage appeal, I went full glam with soft finger waves and a bold cat eye to get me in to character. choosing my look was so hard as all the options were more adorable than the next, but I knew this fox sweater had to be the focal point. i decided to pair it over this heart print dress and layered on this super fab blazer with leather shoulder detail that i just love. the knit beanie was a given and tan heels tied (did u see what i did there? ;)) the whole look together. of course the best part was stuffing my face full of s'mores and laughing with my blogger besties.

Happy Friday Babes!!!

i am so excited that i can finally share with y'all some incredibly exciting news!!

i will be joining Belk along with an exclusive group of southern bloggers for their 1st ever Southern Style Summit at this years Baker Motor Company Charleston Fashion Week!!!! i feel incredibly blessed to be chosen for such an honor, and have totally been freaking out because i will be sitting alongside some pretty incredible bloggers, including, my absolute favorite Mary Seng of Happily Grey!!! are you dying?? i have been following her journey from the beginning and truly she was my major inspiration for getting into the world of blogging in the first place, so to be anywhere in the vicinity of her is MAJOR!!! ok, so if you're not a super fan like myself, no worries, there is plenty more for you to get excited about!!

Marion Square will be totally transformed into a fashion lovers playground and before you even hit the main tent, there is so much to be seen!! last year i spent most of my time in the Belk Tent sipping and shopping, so undoubtedly this year will be no different and this year Belk is offering a unique spring trend everyday accompanied by makeup touchups by the nights featured cosmetic vender. i am most looking forward to the "Spare Me' theme on Wednesday. not only is the title intriguing, but, uh, hello! or should I say, Chanelo!!!! Chanel will be providing the makeup, so you know this girl will be first in line to get a little pampering a la coco!

ok, so lets head to the runway. Charleston Fashion Week is THE premiere fashion event in the south and every year promises to surpass the last in jaw-dropping high fashion. from local boutiques to the emerging designer competition, there are always plenty of surprises and special guests including Trina Turk who will be showcasing her spring collection on Thursday, which has been dubbed Belk Night. i am literally counting down the days, and I hope to see you all there!!

cheers ladies! the weekend is almost here!!!!!!

todays look is what I wore for Christmas Eve and I was slightly less pregnant at the time, but the velvet piping still does a pretty fab job of minimizing the bump. my black faux stud pumps paired perfectly and i pulled colors from the print when choosing my accessories. i love the contrast of black and pastels together, it gives such an icy effect and makes it feel more like winter than our weather would lead you to believe. this blue jacket has been my winter obsession!! shockingly, this is the first its made it on the blog, but if you follow my insta, you'd know its been on heavy rotation with the camel coat from Mondays post. extra bonus for ya'll, they are both currently on sale and perfect for transitioning into spring!! speaking of spring, are y'all not totally craving warmer days and brighter shades?? i am loving the color palette for spring and seriously cannot wait for baby to be here so this momma can work some fresh trends!!

double denim and a triple shot

I don't know about y'all, but this rainy weather has me in the mood to stay in bed and sip on hot coffee all day. but, since the kiddos would never let that happen, i'll have to settle for my slippers and a latte to go. its a fair trade off. at least I have nothing on the agenda that requires me to leave the house, so I will most likely stay in my pjs all day until i take a shower and put a fresh pair back on. (you know you're guilty of the same!)

but I digress, let's move on to a day when I actually pulled on my big girl pants and made it out of the house. I was downtown shopping on a rainy day such as this, when I spotted this duster at Forever 21 on sale!! since I've been trying to add more classic staples to my wardrobe, it was hard to pass up, and i ended up wearing it out of the store, and pretty much every day since then. I paired it over my Canadian uniform for an easy monochromatic look and left all the color popping to my accessories. (on a side note: monochromatic dressing is always flattering, but especially when concealing an extra large bundle!! it has an instantly slimming factor and i'm totally not mad about it)

my neon wristlet was a great "fab find" and fits everything from my cash to my phone for those days when i just don't have an extra hand to lug a big bag. i kept my accessories pretty simple with these "starlett" studs that, like the coat, i've been wearing just about every day since i bought them, and this "shine" necklace that was gifted in my first Rocksbox!! for the finale piece, i slipped on these 2 tone satin pumps. now i know you've seen these heels a time or 2 before, but they're still high on my list of faves! and bonus, i finally found them for ya'll! they've been sold out (literally) since the day i bought them, but they are back in stock at Heels.com and just in time for Valentines Day!!
