oh monday, we meet again. i have been cleaning all day, like ALLLLLLL day, its painful. and now i'm off to shower and pack because we are leaving "promptly" (so i'm told) at noon tomorrow for pennsylvania!!! the packing, i'm not so thrilled about, but the pa part, i can't hardly wait!! we have not been back to visit my family since last christmas, so it is long since overdue. i need to get a little burgher realness in my life, i've been stuck in the country for far too long. ahh, ok i'm too excited to really concentrate, so i'm going to keep this quick. i shot this look waaaaay back, lol, ok, i mean, like last month, but still, that was a long time ago! i am pretty obsessed with the turtleneck at the moment, plus, i'm super lazy when it comes to my hair, so the "faux bob" thing is really working for me. and i'm also loving just about anything in this a-line mini shape at the moment, so i paired the 2 for a monochromatic style. and ps, they are both from Old Navy who is killing it right now in the style department!! have i said this before?? i kinda feel a little dejavu happening, but on the real, it's been good lately. good gooood! i laced up these blush pink booties (on sale for 9.99) for a nude-ish pop of color. and since earrings and necklaces seemed irrelevant, i let my arm do all the talking with this major stack of bangles. to top it off, i grabbed this taxidermy satchel, that i'm pretty sure you know by now, is basically my 4th child because he's so handsome, isn't he?? and, just as a super bonus and totally in time for the holidays, he's on sale for almost 50% off, which is major!! ugh, and i went to the grand opening party last week and let me tell you, EVERYTHING!! i want everything!! somebody give me a million dollars, because this chick needs a closet full of python!! i hope you guys have a great week, and be sure to check back on wednesday! this week's "belle on a budget" is 1 skirt x 6 ways!! trust me, its gonna be good!!

hey, hello, how are ya?

Hello Fall!! all the roads are closed and most of Charleston is closed for business, but its finally cool enough to wear layers without melting, soo, I'll take my victories where I can get em. Especially since the heat will undoubtedly be back as soon as the water dries up. My layers, however, aren't going anywhere. I just wanna wear all the sweaters and all the blazers and all the leather and plaid I can find, what about y'all? Ok, so its not quite sweater weather, but its definitely t-shirt and jeans weather. But, I mean, isn't everyday? If you happen to run in to me at the grocery store or carpool pick up line, you know, I love a good t-shirt and jeans combo, and graphics are my fave. I paired this floral print with a great pair of skinnies and a bf blazer. I love the pop of pink when u flip the cuff of this jacket! And of course, it matched my tee and purse, oh so perfectly! These red sandals were a fun addition for an extra pop of color and because, my general rule is, if leopard doesn't work, red will!! I hope you all are staying safe and dry!! Have a great week!

i know, i know, i've been super lazy about posting lately. well, more crazy than lazy, but that's probably every moms life. lincoln is in the full throws of the terrible twos and maverick is about as big of an attention whore as his momma, so needless to say, between mothering/smothering/screaming at my 3 rugrats and trying (not so effectively) to keep an organized household. the blog has been coming second fiddle. i know i keep promising i will get the hang of this 3 kids mad house and blog on the reg, but it seems to be getting harder at the moment. i have just gone on a bit of a fall shopping splurge/spree so i am determined to shoot next week and get you guys some fresh layered goodness. today's look is pretty indicative of my daily uniform as of late. sadly my heels aren't getting much play these days, but if a girls gotta wear sneakers, they really don't get much more fabulous than python high top chucks, am i right?? i have seriously been obsessing over these bad boys since the moment they arrived in the mail, i mean, how could i not? do you know both beyonce and kylie jenner have a pair? in my best r.zoe, you guys "i die" literally, dead, on the ground, died. lol, ok, its not really that dramatic, but the creator of these guys is a pretty awesome chick, so i get a little excited by all the amazing press she's getting and it makes me feel pretty cool to be in the company of such epicness. so, yes, i am actually wearing more than just sneakers, but i get a little distracted by their beauty. i think i have officially bought every tee old navy has to offer at the moment, and this one is definitely one of my faves. the tunic fit is great for tucking, knotting, or just letting it hang out and black/white stripes are always a winner in my book. i'm still tying on my denim jacket every chance i can get, but my new favorite tie on is the bandana! i can't get enough, it's a bit of an addiction. i have this one in both red and navy, and i'm still on the hunt for black and white and maybe a gray. it might be my favorite accessory trend of the season. what have y'all been loving for fall??
