belle on a budget: the styledwell sweater dress

guess what day it is? Guess What Day it issssss?!!!!!! i mean, yes it is hump day, but it's also radio segment wednesday!!! ok, that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but belle on a budget does, right?? this week i'm bringing you the perfect trend for transitioning in this crazy fickle fall, the sweater dress!! yesterday was sunshine and 80 degrees, sunday the high is in the 60's, next week who knows, so guess what, this girl's got ya covered. well really StyleDwell has you covered, but i'm gonna show you how to style this bad boy. so, sweaters are hot (quite literally) and what better way to beat the heat while staying on trend than a sleeveless cowlneck sweater dress?? that wasn't really a question and the answer would be, there isn't! for my first look, aka "wear now" i styled this dress a little boho. since it really it too hot for layers, i let my accessories inspire fall. this hat and booties are the perfect pieces to give it an autumn appeal without adding the heat and this leopard jacket is a perfect pop of print! i am definitely that girl who will carry her jacket all day because it completes the outfit and it's totally worth it for the opportunity to sling it over my shoulders and really give life to this look. i mean, that's totally normal, right? you can trust me on this one, i think it's normal . . ish;)
for my second look, aka "wear later", aka "wear sunday" because according to the weather man, fall plans on popping up again, i styled this dress in what can only be described as parisian poshness. i want to wear this look everyday. all black, chic! leather, duh! this pink coat, yaaaaaassssssss!!! but seriously, are you not in love?! victoria beckham, eat your heart out, this one's for you!! i am dying to take this girl out for a spin in the snow when we head north next month. i layered the sweater dress over these leather leggings, my faux rockstuds and this amazing pink coat for the perfect fall/winter look and left my hair tucked in to create the faux turtle bob, have you heard of this?? it's a thing. and i love it! honestly, i would love to chop off all my hair and go back to the lob, but the hubs is opposed, so for now, this will have to do. so what have we learned today?? basically you need this dress. do yourself a favor and snag it before its gone, because at $45 i'm pretty sure it won't last long. plus, you guys, style/dwell loves my readers so much, that you're all getting 20% off when you mention this post!! and be sure to tune in to 2 Girls and a Guy at 8:50 (that's 95.9 for you locals) or check back Here for the podcast to hear more about my thoughts on this trend and why you need to hop on the turtle bandwagon!! love you guys for listening!!
