peplum pleats

good morning lovies!!!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!  ours have been filled with renovations which means, the house is constantly filled with dust, which means, im usually sporting a mop or a vacuum and cleaning what will inevitably be dirty again within the hour.  but I don't mind, because I am so excited to see how much progress has been made, and finger crossed, our master bath and closet will be completed before baby m's arrival.  speaking of the little guy, he is out and about in full force these days!  i can no longer see my feet and strapping on heels is an exhausting task (one that i refuse to give up) but i am determined to stay fab until the end of this pregnancy!  with only 7 weeks left, i have resorted to reworking items in my closet.  i plan to make a few purchases once the weather agrees with me, but with winter hopefully coming to an end, i hate to invest in pieces that won't get much wear.  so with that said, today is a full on shop your closet outfit with pieces you've seen a time or two before.  a growing bump means shirts no longer fit like they should, which is the case with this embellished peplum.  because a peplum generally requires a waistline which i no longer can find, i tucked it into a pleated midi skirt and layered on my fave vintage blazer.  to show some semblance of a separation between bump and chest, i belted it with my leopard skinny.  and sorry if you're sick of these pumps by now, but i am so not so i strapped them on for a much needed dose of black and gold to tie the whole look together.
