indigo road

Happy Fall Y'all!!!! Or Yinz, if you're a fellow "burgher". I am so excited to start adding (more) layers to my wardrobe and busting out the boots.  for most of the country, the chill is already starting to set in and sweater weather is in full swing, but for us here in sunny Charleston, were still experiencing summer temps reaching the high 80's most days.  This makes fall a tad tricky, so today I'm giving you 2 ways to style your fall wardrobe.  This grungy goddess dress from My Kind of Lovely is everything!!! I have already worn it half a dozen times and even ordered it in the green as well because it is quite possibly the easiest, most comfortable thing to ever grace my body.   The side slits are fun to play around with and tie it up a couple different ways.  My "wear now" look is a bit more summer-ish thanks to all the white accessories, but if you read my last post you know I have no plans of putting away my whites for winter.  I knotted the front to the back and layered on this beaded boho tassel from Swell Caroline.  I love a long beaded necklace, don't you?  This one comes in 5 different colors, so I had a bit of a hard time choosing, but the grays and blues felt very transitional to me, and it pops off this indigo quite perfectly.
For my "wear later" look, I switched out my sandals for booties and threw on a floppy hat.  This backpack is truly the game changer and packs a punch in tango red.  Is anyone else obsessing over backpacks for fall?  It's totally not fair to let the kids have all the fun, so I have been carrying this cutie with me everywhere.  Plus she doubles up as a great diaper bag/everything but the kitchen sink mom tote.  Should fall weather decide to show up, I will totally be layering on a jacket to take this dress into winter.
