true story, i am not as cool as this sweatshirt would lead you to believe. if you know me or read this blog on the regular, you know i am an avid fan of band tees, but i rarely (never) actually listen to said bands. sinatra is more my jam, or the biebs if i'm feeling extra spicy. on a crazy day you might catch me jammin out to some coldplay. so, it is by total coincidence that i even wore this bowie sweatshirt, and only because i live for the comfort of a vintage style tee that you see me wearing these guys over and over again. honestly, a graphic tee is pretty much a basic as far as i'm concerned, so i have a pretty fat stack sitting in my closet. sadly, the rock world lost a legend this week, and even though i probably couldn't name a single song if i tried, i can appreciate a man with that much dedication to his art. his style was ever-changing, always evolving and most definitely inspiring. as he said (and i'm sure you've seen a million times on social media this week) "i don't know where i'm going from here, but i promise it won't be boring" well boring he was not, and that's a quote i can get behind. i paired this sweatshirt; that is insanely comfortable, by the way; with these (even more comfortable) pair of leggings. i wish you could feel these guys, they're so soft! between the 2, i might as well be wearing pajamas, that's how cozy they are. i contemplated heels, but in keeping with the laid back vibes (and because i'm always looking for an excuse to wear them) i decided to lace up my python chucks and for an extra fun accessory, this matching cell phone case! so cool, right?? in case you haven't noticed, i'm pretty obsessed with everything Taxidermy. she's pretty MAJ!

good morning babes!!!! eeeeeekkkkk!! i can hardly contain my excitement, i'm so thrilled to be starting a new series with you guys annnnnnnd how cool is it that you can totally hear all about it on the radio?? i for one am pretty stoked. not so much that you get to listen to my valley-girl meets yankee twang voice, but definitely that you can finally hear the amount of sarcastic dry banter that goes on in my head as i'm writing these posts to you week after week. so, listen (hehe) we all love a good trend, right? but trends come and go and no one wants to break the bank on fleeting fashion. this is where "belle on a budget" comes to the rescue!! every week i am going to be partnering with a local boutique to style one of the season's hottest trends, at a very pocket friendly price! Good Morning!!! I have hungry children yanking on my arm, and a full day of errands, so im gonna try (key word being try) to keep it short, but im a rambler, so, who am I really kidding. this dress has me feeling all tropical resort/fabulous vacation ready! lucky for me, I live in a vacation destination city, making this palm print oh so perfect for everyday. I love this easy breezy fit, because when your dripping in sweat (and if you look close, I totally was) clingy fabric is not your friend and sweat stains are so not cute. plus, and the main reason I love flowy dresses, you can stuff your face and hide the food belly without even having to try. this was me all weekend. stuffing my face, time and again at all of our weekend festivities. I have to say, southerners really know how to feed a girl. I think I have officially eaten every possible type of meat (sorry vegetarians), cheese, dips and desserts and even though my tummy is totally yelling at me today, it was so worth it at the moment. in case you didn't know, this girl likes to eat, ALOT!! so you can see why flowy is my friend. back to the look at hand; I tried to keep it fairly simple and paired it with my nude single straps and layers of delicate jewelry. not a denim jacket in sight, aren't you proud of me?? have a fabulous day ladies!!

happy ~~Monday~~ err, Tuesday!!! sorry, i'm on vacation time! we are staying in paradise with our best friends and their 2 boys and let me tell you, it is heaven! Currently, I am sitting poolside enjoying a mocktail with my bestie and soakin' up some rays. If you follow my insta, you know I already wore this dress to church a few weeks ago, but it's so easy breezy, I knew it would be perfect to bring to FLA. The print you guys, these photos don't even do it justice. It's definitely not new news that I love leopard print, but who knew blue and pink could be so gorgeous together?! I stole these braids from my girl Chloe over at Topknots and Polkadots. If you're not already, go follow her, she's a doll and one of my blogger besties and you'll love her!! She was rocking these Dutch braids at brunch on Sunday, and I couldn't wait to try for myself! I think they give the look a whole new vibe, and of course I had to layer on a denim jacket because, idk, I just can't help but layer everything. back to this dress, it can actually be worn as maternity and is absolutely perfect for nursing, which is always my main concern when dressing. And lets be honest, most nursing styles are just not that cute. Should I take the plunge and go for babe #4, I will definitely be hitting them up to get me through those nine/ten months. Happy New Years EVE!!!!!!

i hope you all have incredibly fabulous plans, because i totally plan on living vicariously through them. i for one, will most likely be sound asleep hours before the countdown begins, but you know #mommyproblems. should i actually have somewhere fabulous to go, this would be my look du jour. i know everyone thinks of the new year as a time to sparkle and shine, ie: throw some glitter on it, but sometimes i think a little bling goes a long way. don't get me wrong, i love a sequin mini as much as the next girl, but with risk of showing up in the same dress, i opt for separates on occasions such as these. and the best part? i saved my $$ and shopped my own closet!! that's the thing about dresses, once you've worn it, its done, its been seen. sure you can style it with a new shrug or switch up your heels, but the options are limited. with separates, you can mix and match and change it up a million different ways and no one will be the wiser, it can always be fresh and new! so cheers to the NEW!! year that is!! may it be the best one yet!!!
